Description

Imotski is located on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. It is center of Imotski region. It lies on the fertile Imotski field and has two important sights, two pearls of nature, Red and Blue Lake. These lakes are a favorite picnic spot for both tourists and locals looking for a vacation in nature. Krško Blue Lake is one of the most beautiful Croatian lakes, which is reached by well-kept stairs, so it is a favorite bathing spot in the summer months. It often dries up, so football is traditionally played at its bottom. Red Lake is named after the red rocks on the edge of the lake. This karst pit is about 528 meters high, and the depth of the lake is about 281 meters, which, according to some data, could be the deepest lake in Europe.
